Visualize & Create Destiny:
Visualize yourself as you would desire to be. Feel the joy as you paint a
picture of yourself in your mind’s eye. Practice till it becomes a
reality, says Dr. Sharda.
Change Habits:
Delay your reactions - If you want to thrash your child for flunking the
exams, delay it till the next weekend.
Pay attention to some quality that attracts to you and is beneficial and
uplifting, for eg, empathy, compassion, comm.-unication. Energy follows
atte-nation; what you pay attention to grows and blossoms.
Use Tools:
Tools which serve as key to unlock that which you want to express or
erasers, which erase what needs to be eliminated.
Positive Affirmations:
Since the mind can mechanic-cally churn out thought, generally negative
and pessimistic thoughts, it is wise to give it positive affirmations. For
this, write down a positive statement about yourself, for eg, ‘I (name) am
peaceful, composed and confident and attract good fortune for complete
success’. Repeat this whenever your mind thinks negative about you.
Creative Visualization:
Visualize yourself as you would desire to be. See the clothes you would
wear, the way you walk and talk with your near and dear once as well as at
place of work/ social circle. Feel the contentment/joy in your heart as
you paint the picture in your mind’s eye. Practice till it become a
reality.
Yoga Nidra:
is the art of the complete relaxation with complete awareness. In other
words, as you learn to relax you also simultaneously stay alert and lucid
rather than falling asleep. Positive affirmation in Yoga Nidra invariably
gives result since consciousness is close to the source in this state.
Concentration:
on a sound geometric form/flame of candle and concept------ e.g.,
beauty/love/power stills the mind and enables the unlimited power within
to emerge and act.
Meditation:
is to effortlessly remain in the mode of awareness in the present moment.
To not hold a particular thought, but just be conscious and attentive to
all the passing thoughts and phenomena of the mind is the way. The mind
eventually becomes still when you watch it.
Tapas/discipline/pranayama erase previously created patterns with their
heat. Wisdom and true knowledge do the same.
